Festive Spirit at Cockpit Arts

With lots of pop-ups, fairs & markets you should find plenty of opportunity to shop fantastic British designer products this year. However if you still need a relaxed shopping fix this weekend then an Open Studios might be just what you are looking for. Creative studio spaces are great to explore, seeing all the different ways people work and the processes they use to create their products. They are also usually great for samples, seconds & sales; so a good deal is definitely on the cards.

Last week was Holborn and this weekend is my local Deptford studios, so I thought I’d share what everyone has been up to. I have some firm favourites as well as a few new faces for you to enjoy. It was actually my first visit to Holborn as it never seemed to fall on a free weekend but I managed to catch the end of Sunday.

I am always surprised who I find working in these fantastic spaces and even though the Holborn layout is a little maze like the studios are so visually exciting. Rows of cottons, hanging products and tools to admire I was sort of lost in the general atmosphere

If your near South London this weekend; it’s £4 to get in but you can take your time, have a seriously good sausage roll and chat with all the makers before buying yourself silly. Have a fun weekend!
